In this six part series, co creators of Grateful Dead Tarot, Elizabeth Jezorski and Erin Cadigan, share the story told by the Major Arcana and the cards significance within the Tarot.

The Major Arcana of Grateful Dead Tarot, though named differently, hold the same archetypical meanings as traditional Tarot. The knowledge gained in these classes is directly transferable to any traditionally based Tarot deck.

The classes are a deep dive into the role the Major Arcana holds in Tarot, each cards significance, and the three developmental stages.

Your class 1 : Intro Session Majors

This class is an in-depth Introduction to the Storyteller himself. Who is he? How does he function in the tarot and in readings? How can you tune into this presence within? What is the Hero's Journey?

This class explores cards 1- 7. These cards serve as the psychological and archetypal foundations for our lives. They represent the world that we were born into and that conditioned our perspectives. We will learn how to read these cards, how to understand them in our own lives and how they fit into the story of the tarot and the Grateful Dead.

Your Session: Class Three

This class introduces ego consciousness and the world that we create consciously. Focusing on cards 8-14, we will explore the adventure of life, its struggles and its rewards, of which we are all a part. Again, we will learn how to read these cards, how to understand them in our own lives and how they fit into the story.

This class introduces the final 7 cards of the Major Arcana, cards 15-21. What happens after the Hero has found his grail? This session explores the journey back "Home", to grace, back to source consciousness and divine union. Again, we will learn how to read these cards, how to understand them in our own lives and how they fit into the story

Your Session: Session Five

This class puts all the pieces together and takes us on the journey from beginning to end... to beginning. Together we will explore how the story connects and tells the tale of the human experience. We will learn to understand the archetypal story as a whole, rather than as a series of individual cards and explore the relationships between cards.

Your session: Session Six

This final class will wrap up any loose threads and include a special group tarot ritual. We will learn how to attune to, embody and express the archetypal energies of the Major Arcana cards. We will also explore the Major Arcana in relationship to the Minor Arcana and understand how they are different and how to read the tarot as a whole.
